Q: How many designs can I download per day?
Answer: You can download 50 designs per day.
Q: In what format are you offering your designs in?
Answer: All artwork is production ready. They are in line art in vector format. We offer in Illustrator (AI), CorelDraw (CDR) and EPS. These three formats are in vector format. And we also offer teh choise of raster format such as WMF, BMP, JPG and GIF. Files can be opened in any graphic program. All of our clip art is delivered in vector format. The advantage of vector clip art, is you can resize the individual artwork to any ratio without losing any of the original resolution or compression values. Vector clip art will remain sharp and clear after any increase or decrease in size.
Q: What is a vector image?
Answer: A vector image is resolution independent image that has many advantages for certain file types, one being that they are scalable to any size without losing any resolution qualities. All attributes of the vector image will remain highly defined and clear if the image is increased or decreased in size. Vector images are not generally used with highly complex or photo realistic design images.
Q: Does Eclipartfactory.com create custom clip art?
Answer: Our design production house does accept custom orders for clip art. We can create clip art in a wide variety of styles. Please contact our customer service department for a price quote.
Q: Are clipart designs customizable?
Answer: All of our clipart is customizable. Clipart files are delivered in fully editable formats. Modifying or changing a clipart image will require at least a basic understanding of a vector based design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Freehand, etc.
Q: What if I am having trouble downloading my design?
Answer: Most often this occurs do to popup-blockers in the browser, and most of the time it can be resolved by simply pressing and holding the "Ctrl-" (or MAC Command Key) key as you click on a download link. You may though need to temporarily disable the popup-blocker.
Q: How do I find the clip art or design that I'm looking for?
Answer: There is search box located in the top right of the website, as well as the ability to search categories in the left navigation on all pages. With the search box you can enter a keyword describing the design, or you can search by product number. If you choose to search by category, select your choice from the menu in the left navigation and the database will retrieve all designs associated with that category. You can also search a group of designs related to the Group number. In this case all designs that have the same theme will appear.
Q: Where can I use these clipart?
Answer: These art can be used for personal or commercial business such as for EMBROIDERY, SCREEN PRINT, SIGNS, ENGRAVING, INKJET PRINTING, SILK SCREEN, SUBLIMATION, VINYL CUTTING, BOOKS, MAGAZINES etc.
Q: What does Royalty-free mean free?
Answer: No. Although there are two different types of royalty-free in this industry, the most common is the type that we license. To us, royalty free means that you pay a one time fee from a set of pricing plan that we offer and you get to use the image(s) after you downloaded into your computer,forever, for multiple uses, without having to pay additional fees, also known as royalties, hence the term royalty-free.
Q: Can more than one person use my account?
Answer: No. When you subscribe to eclipartfactory.com, you agree not to give your eclipartfactory.com username and password to others. If you do, your membership will be withdrawn.
Q: Your files that I downloaded are in .ZIP format. How do I use it?
Answer: The reason for files being zipped is to save space and that the files are uploaded correctly without any error. In that zip file would contain all files format that you would require to open in your application. There are many free ZIP unpack files in the internet available for download. Please go to Google and type in keyword: sourceforge 7-zip, you will find the file you are looking for. Please download and install the application into your computer.
